90°-fillet weld-vacuum box
The 90° Fillet Weld Vacuum Box is a leak testing tool designed to inspect weld joints in 90° fillet geometry, especially on surfaces such as boxes, tanks and collection vessels. The device is used for testing according to German regulations (“GefStoffVO”) for hazardous liquids when the vessel height is around 40 mm or more. It provides a method for safe and effective leak testing using vacuum and special test glasses.
Key features and benefits
Designed for straight edges (90° fillet) in tub-shaped structures, also offering a “miniature” version for tubs with smaller heights.
Includes adapter for reduced height when standard box length does not fit.
Clear construction with inspection glass/view so that leaks (bubbles) are visible under test conditions.
Non-interfering when used as part of MR Chemie's vacuum leak test system, compatible with vacuum hose and accessories for sealing and measuring.
Technical specifications
Length: approx. 500 mm for standard version, approx. 600 mm also available.
Miniature version: approx. 250 mm length, designed for low-height vessels (~40 mm).
Type: 90° fillet geometry, straight design.
Areas of application
Leakage inspection in tanks, sumps and other vessels with 90° fillet welds.
Testing under German regulations for hazardous liquids when vessel height is limited.
Routine maintenance inspection to detect small leaks and ensure tightness of welded joints.
Use in laboratories and in the field for visualization of welding defects via bubble test with vacuum box.
