Flying Vision BAV-4025IA vacuum box

The BAV-4025IA is a specialized vacuum chamber from Flying Vision, designed for internal right angles (90°) in welds and tanks. With its modular design and interchangeable base, it enables leak testing in demanding geometric structures such as hulls, tanks or internal corner welds.
Key features and benefits
Intended for internal 90° corners – designed to check tightness in internal angle joints (e.g. between base and steel plate).
Modular two-part system : main body + replaceable base – makes the box flexible and easy to maintain.
Hybrid vacuum system : can generate vacuum via Venturi effect (compressor) or suction mode (vacuum pump).
Precise regulation : control valve allows vacuum amount to be adjusted, and a quick release valve provides quick release.
Good readability : relatively high window provides clear visual indication of bubble formation.
Safe and durable sealing foam : 35 mm high closed-cell foam with hardness 40/50 Shore 00, designed for reliable sealing under external load.
Flexibility with base : the same body can be combined with flat base or internal angle base, depending on inspection needs.
Adaptation to use : The box can be used with additional accessories such as a transport case, calibrated vacuum gauge and LED light.
Technical specifications
Dimensions: 400 × 235 × 235 mm (body + specific IA base)
Weight: about 7.2 kg
Foam height: 35 mm, 40/50 Shore 00
Vacuum range: up to –1 bar
Vacuum generation: Venturi effect + pump
Materials: Main body in aluminum alloy and plexiglass; base in plexiglass + foam
Areas of application
Leakage test of internal corner joints in tanks, container structures and ship hulls.
Inspection of storage tanks: especially the connection between the bottom plate and the cylinder (“skirt to shell”).
Testing of metallic or non-metallic surfaces where 90° internal angles need to be checked.
Field inspections in the petrochemical industry, tank production and critical structures where quality and safety requirements are high.
