JIREH SKOOT
The JIREH SKOOT series is an advanced platform for automated inspection in NDT (Non-Destructive Testing). The series consists of modular, magnetic crawlers that can be customized with various scanner modules for corrosion mapping, weld inspection, high-temperature measurements and X-ray-based testing. The system combines high precision with flexibility and robustness, and can be used on both horizontal, vertical and inverted surfaces.
The magnetic belts ensure stability even in demanding environments, while the compact design makes the system ideal for areas with limited space. All models in the SKOOT series can be controlled wirelessly via a user-friendly remote control, and come with an encoder system for accurate position measurement and repeatable scanning.
Products in the SKOOT series
SKOOT Base Crawler
The basic module of the SKOOT system. It acts as a platform for the various inspection modules and can be used alone for manual inspection. The base has magnetic traction, low profile and high stability on all ferromagnetic surfaces.
SKOOT Corrosion Mapping Scanner
Designed for automated corrosion mapping using two-axis raster motion, this module is used with the Base Crawler and delivers accurate thickness measurements over large areas. Perfect for inspecting tanks, pipelines and steel structures.
SHOOT HT
A special version for high temperature inspection, designed for operation on surfaces up to approximately 350°C. Ideal for use on hot process pipes, pressure vessels and other areas where traditional crawlers cannot withstand the temperature.
SKOOT Weld Scanner
A dedicated module for precise weld inspection. It automatically follows weld lines and is often used in combination with ultrasonic or phased array systems. Delivers high-resolution data that supports accurate assessment of weld integrity.
SHOOT X
The most advanced model in the series, designed for digital radiography (DR) and X-ray inspection. It can carry both an X-ray source and detector with a total payload of up to 29 kg, and offers programmable scan patterns for optimal coverage. The SKOOT X can operate on both magnetic and non-magnetic surfaces, making it highly versatile in the field.
