JIREH MOTIX

MOTIX is a motorized inspection platform from JIREH that combines flexible chaining with modular scanner modules for inspection of both ferromagnetic and non-ferromagnetic surfaces. It offers precision, repeatability and a robust design for use in piping systems, tanks and industrial plants. The base module can be quickly adapted with modules for corrosion mapping or weld inspection, providing high versatility without replacing the entire system.
Products in the MOTIX series
MOTIX Base Crawler
Motorized base platform that can be placed on non-ferromagnetic surfaces such as GRP, HDPE, stainless steel and plastic. The chain link sets can be mounted to pipes with diameters up to 42" (106.7 cm). The platform can be equipped with modules for either corrosion mapping or weld inspection.
MOTIX Corrosion Mapping Scanner
The module that mounts to the MOTIX base for automatic thickness mapping over surfaces. It includes a Standard Overtop Link that provides physical clearance for the probe arm, and the system can also be modified to carry probe supports for PAUT/TOFD if required.
The module continues the core solutions of the base crawler (chain, encoder, cable management) and provides the user with flexible and repeatable corrosion inspection.
MOTIX Weld Scanner
Designed for automated weld inspection – supports up to four probes and can perform inspection on both ferromagnetic and non-ferromagnetic materials. Can be mounted on chain system configurable for pipes from 6" diameter up to 42" via quick-release chain links.
The module can also combine welding and corrosion modes by installing an additional motorized raster arm.
Key features:
Adjustable chain links (quick-release) that allow attachment to pipes with diameters up to 42" (~106.7 cm)
Built-in encoder for accurate position tracking and slip compensation JIREH+2JIREH+2
Remote control with the ability to program scan patterns over distances (e.g. up to 30 m)
Possibility of both corrosion mapping and welding inspection on the same platform through module exchange
Cable management and quick disassembly/assembly of chain links for easy operation in field locations
