JIREH NAVIC

JIREH NAVIC

Jireh's NAVIC systems are modular, motorized scanners designed for precise and automated inspection of pipes, tanks and welds. The platform is known for its flexibility, powerful magnetic wheels and ability to operate in harsh environments and difficult angles.
With its modular design, the user can easily adapt the system to different inspection needs – from corrosion mapping and weld inspection to inspection of flat surfaces and nozzles.

Products in the NAVIC family

The NAVIC series consists of several models, each specialized for different applications:

  • NAVIC-2 Base Crawler – serves as the main platform in the NAVIC system and can be combined with various modules for specific inspection tasks.

  • NAVIC 3-Axis Nozzle Scanner – designed for precise inspection around nozzles and complex geometries using a 3-axis scanning system.

  • NAVIC Corrosion Mapping Scanner – optimized for corrosion and thickness mapping on pipes, tanks and flat surfaces.

  • NAVIC Probe Lift Weld Scanner – equipped with an automated lift function that allows the probe to pass over weld irregularities and irregularities without losing contact.

  • NAVIC Tank Scanner – developed for precise and efficient scanning of large, flat surfaces such as tank walls and bottoms.

  • NAVIC Weld Scanner – specially designed for weld inspection, with space for multiple probes for full coverage in circumferential and longitudinal scanning.

Key features and benefits

  • Powerful magnetic wheels ensure stability on vertical, horizontal and undersurface surfaces.

  • Low profile – only requires around 70mm of clearance, ideal for small pipes and tight spaces.

  • Remote control with programmable scan patterns for high repeatability and accuracy.

  • Modular design allows the user to quickly switch between corrosion scanning, weld inspection, and flat or tank measurement.

  • Robust construction with high resistance to dust and water.

  • Available with various frames and probe holders to suit the customer's inspection equipment and methodology.

Areas of application

NAVIC systems are used in the oil and gas industry, the energy sector, shipbuilding and maintenance of pressure pipes and tanks. They are used for:

  • Automatic and manual ultrasonic inspection (UT)

  • Corrosion mapping and material thickness measurement

  • Welding and joint inspection

  • Inspection of complex shapes such as nozzles and curved surfaces
