Koworase X
Koworase X is a specialized system for removing burn-in effects on Computed Radiography (CR) image plates. It restores image quality and sensitivity without damaging the plate and meets the requirements of the ASTM E2445 standard. The system uses a two-phase process that combines UV-C exposure and powerful LED light to eliminate deep image artifacts.
How does it work?
The deletion takes place in two steps:
First, the plate is exposed to intense UV-C illumination (254 nm) which saturates the phosphor layer.
Then, white, red and green LED lights are activated, removing any remaining burn-in and reducing the background level to a minimum.
The result is a completely clean plate with a maximum grayscale difference of 0.5%, which is better than the standard requirement of 1%. The sensitivity and life of the plate are not affected.
