Pro-MAM CESM
The Pro-MAM CESM is a specialty phantom from Diagnomatic designed for quality assurance of contrast-enhanced spectral (dual-energy) mammography (CESM). It allows users to assess image quality, contrast detection, and tissue differentiation with and without iodine-based contrast agent.
Key features and benefits
Contains objects with different iodine concentrations (0.2 mg/cm³, 0.5 mg/cm³, 1.0 mg/cm³ and 2.0 mg/cm³) covering clinically relevant levels for contrast-enhanced mammography.
Background module divided into two parts: one with 100% glandular tissue material and one with 100% adipose tissue material, which provides realistic challenge for contrast detection in varying breast parts.
Designed for routine QC of CESM systems and subtraction images, with a focus on stability and performance.
Technical specifications
Phantom thickness: approximately 55 mm total.
Top layer and bottom layer: each 10 mm thick and made of adipose tissue–equivalent material.
Middle layer: 25 mm thick, divided into 50% adipose and 50% glandular tissue-equivalent material.
Iodine targets placed in 10 mm plate embedded in the phantom's structure.
CE certified and designed for use in accordance with relevant mammography quality standards.
Areas of application
Quality assurance (QA) of contrast-enhanced spectral mammography (CESM) in clinical settings.
Evaluation of contrast detection capability and performance over time in mammography systems with dual-energy acquisition.
Documentation and reporting of image quality and system stability for accreditation programs and maintenance procedures.
