REFLECON® 3D Scanning Spray creates a smooth, matte coating on reflective, transparent or dark surfaces and improves optical measurements by reducing glare. The sprays are designed to provide sharp details during both laser and light field scanning.

Product types

Sublimating spray (Type 1):

• Evaporates automatically without the need for cleaning.

• Available in several varieties with different drying and working times.

• Leaves a smooth, matt white surface without dust and is odour-reduced or odour-free.

Permanent spray (Type 2):

• Provides a matte coating that is easily removed manually after scanning.

• Available as both water-based and solvent-based.

• Completely free of titanium dioxide.

• Sublimating spray disappears on its own, while permanent spray is easy to remove.

• Designed to be dust-free and gentle on laser sensors.

Instructions for use

• Make sure the surface is clean and dry.

• Spray from a distance of 20–30 cm in even movements.

• Allow the coating to dry before scanning for best results.

• Always test on a small area first for sensitive materials.

Material compatibility

The spray works on metals, plastics (PC, ABS, PP), glass, ceramics, textiles and 1K paints. For unusual or sensitive surfaces, a test application should always be done.
