CODA
CODA is a portable high-power ultrasonic instrument designed for flaw detection with support for both EMAT and piezoelectric sensors. With patented pulsers, CODA delivers exceptional performance across various inspection techniques, combining the advantages of non-contact EMAT testing and traditional piezo-based ultrasound. The instrument is remotely controlled via WiFi and comes with a smartphone or tablet as a control unit, making it ideal for modern field work.
Key features and benefits
Dual mode: Supports both EMAT and piezoelectric sensors in the same device.
High performance: EMAT mode with 1–3 cycles, up to 800 Vpp and approximately 8 kW peak power in the frequency range 1–8 MHz.
Flexibility: Piezo mode with half-cycle square pulses of 100–400 V and high repetition rate up to 2 kHz.
Versatile use: Works with both pulse-echo and pitch-catch methods.
Ease of use: Remote operation with WiFi and intuitive web interface.
