Pro-NDT CR

Pro-NDT CR

Pro-NDT CR is a specially designed quality assurance tool (phantom) for non-destructive testing (NDT) of digital CR (Computed Radiography) scanners. The product is used to measure and document key parameters such as spatial resolution, contrast, MTF (Modulation Transfer Function), laser jitter, scan slip, shadow correction and cassette positioning.

Key features and benefits

  • Complies with international standards for CR scanners: ASTM E2445/E2445M‑20, ISO 16371‑1 and EN 14784‑1.

  • Includes test objects such as DuplexWire IQI indicators for high-resolution measurement, T-meters for laser jitter, and brass/wire patterns for central beam remote control.

  • Simple and repeatable control process for CR systems — providing users with accurate and documentable performance monitoring.

  • Manufactured in PMMA (acrylic) with dimensions 350 × 430 × 19 mm, for custom testing in standard 14" × 17" format.

Technical specifications

  • Dimensions: 350mm × 430mm × 19mm.

  • Material: PMMA (Lucite) as carrier material.

  • Contains:
Brass T-meter type for laser/jitter measurement
Pro-NDT DuplexWire IQI test objects (1 or 2 depending on version)
BAM snail target for central beam alignment
Two converging line pair patterns (resolution measurement)
Three Ø19 × 0.3 mm measuring points for screen/slip correction (EL, EC, ER)
    Cassette centering locator
Homogeneous 0.5 mm Al strip for scanning slip and shadow analysis
    Rulers cm/inch for linearity check
Three contrast sensitivity targets (Al, Cu, stainless steel) with hole depths for depth/contrast measurement.

Areas of application

  • Quality assurance (QA) of digital CR scanners in NDT environments – ensures that the system delivers consistent, documentable and norm-compliant results.

  • Evaluation and monitoring of performance parameters such as resolution, contrast, uniformity and laser jitter over time.

  • Certification and accreditation of X-ray and CR systems where documentation of performance is a requirement.
