The Basic Weld set consists of small, manageable weld samples, each with one or two intentional flaws. In total, the set contains at least 18 flaws spread across multiple samples. The samples are designed for use in training in defect detection, interpretation, and simple flaw size assessment in non-destructive testing (NDT).
